South African Department of Health (2008) South Africa's much-anticipated new plan for responding to the epidemic. The NSP was drafted by the restructured South African National AIDS Council (SANAC), which included civil soceity and medical health professionals. The inclusion of these groups and the democratic consultation process that was followed in drawing up the NSP suggest that South Africa's denialist period might be drawing to a close. Use this plan to monitor the government's progress. |
