According to The New Age (TNA) Provincial Health MEC for the North West Magome Masike has denounced the high HIV infection rates within the province, calling for more prevention strategies to be put in place to curb the 'flood'.
As the rate of maternal deaths and therefore maternal orphans increases within the province, there has been considerable interest in training nurses to administer ARVs.
Close to 2000 nurses will be trained by the end of this financial year along with an increase in ARV treatment sites to speed up the process.
