The Foetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) awareness in De Aar and Upington has been so successful that already the number of women consuming alcohol during pregnancy has dropped by 30% in three years.
MEC for social development Alvin Botes has now extended the campaign to Galeshewe and Roodepan in Kimberley, which have been identified by him as having the highest prevalence of alcohol consumption during pregnancy by women in the region...read the full article
